SEO Link Building Service

Link building is the single most important element of search engine optimization. But you must be careful about many things including the quality, relevance and acquisition rate of new links. Done wrong, links can work against you.

Our promise is to deliver quality links that will help your rankings, including our Natural Links and Premium Links. Regardless of who you select as your link building partner, make sure the links meet the following link quality checklist.

Link Quality Check List:

Real Links. Not low quality links from a link farm, link wheel, link pyramid, or links from any pages on sites that we own or operate.

One-Way Links. These are also called non-reciprocal links. This means there will be no link trade or link exchange required. You generally don’t want “I will link to you if you link to me” type links.

Editorial Links. Meaning that we never, ever pay website owners or link brokers a rental fee to host a link for our clients. There are no monthly or annual fees to keep the link alive. All links have natural attrition, with no expiration date or renewal costs.

Relevant Links. These are links from a page that is about the targeted keywords, or has a semantically relevant content or theme. A high percentage of your links should fall into this category.

Contextual Links. This means the link is not over on the side of the page, in the navigation, or buried in the page footer. A contextual link comes from within relevant text content, located in the main content section of the web page. A high percentage of your links should be of this type.

Link Acquisition Rate. It’s important to acquire new links in a slow and steady manner, and not cause a "sandbox" problem or penalty by gaining too many links too rapidly. Too many links too fast will always result in a penalty.

Link Anchors. It's important that your backlink profile looks normal. As tempting as it is, it’s no longer smart to make the vast majority of your links use keyword anchors. Diversity is key, but anchors are very important. Doing this part right is crucial.

Do-follow /No-follow Links. Sometimes websites use a hidden tag or code on links to tell the search engines not to follow or pass along any link value. Don’t be fooled by links that have their value deliberately blocked by nofollow code, redirection, javascript, robots.txt, or other means. On the other hand, a natural mix of do-follow/no-follow links is expected by Google as part of a natural link profile. The important thing is to know what you are getting.

No Garbage Links. No links from FFA link pages, low quality content farms, "SEO" link directories, etc. Links will be nearly always from U.S. websites. No “sitewide” links should ever be used.

Diversity. It's important most links come from separate domains and IP addresses. For example, Google may only count the first two or three links that come from the same domain or IP range. It's also important to have a wide mix of link types and other factors. The idea is that the link profile must look natural and not appear to be manufactured. See more about backlink diversity.

Hot Off The Press!

January 2012
Google Hits Google With Black Hat Link Penalty
Don't get in trouble with paid links! Google hates paid links and penalizes the sites that receive them. In fact, Google recently penalized one of their own pages for it's use of paid links. http://techcrunch.com/2012/01/04/google-chrome-pagerank/

No single SEO factor can help more, or hurt more, than links.

For links, as with all areas of SEO, RankSolid will always first consider “what not to do”. We believe in the Hippocratic principle of primum non nocere, which is a Latin phrase that means "First, do no harm". It is the foundation of the oath historically taken by doctors, swearing to practice medicine ethically.

We stay away from paid links, low quality directory listings, blogrolls, footer links, link farms, circles, pyramids, rings, wheels, or whatever. Clever, new names for these schemes pop up daily. Sure, some sites succeed with these tricks for short periods of time. But rankings obtained this way will not last and can often turn into a severe problem.

What Is White Hat Link Building?

White hat link building can include competitor backlink analysis and targeting, link baiting, link begging, guest posting on relevant blogs, press releases, media article placement, relevant forum participation, niche directories, online trade publications, social media, product reviews, and other lesser known (secret sauce) legitimate opportunities.

Let us build you a solid backlink profile of dozens or hundreds of Natural Links and/or Premium Links that will safely improve your ranking on a long term basis.
